At the University Art Gallery, we accept exhibition proposals year-round: we consider all submissions for current and future exhibition seasons, and plan our schedules up to two years in advance. Out-of-state and International artists applying to exhibit will/may need to provide their own funding support. A notification e-mail will be sent when your application has been received and a timeline will be given as to when to expect a response about your submission.
Entry packages that do not follow the submission guidelines will not be considered. Please indicate if you are open to multiple types of shows to increase your acceptance chances. You will be notified via mail, e-mail or phone once a decision has been made about your submission.
If your proposal is accepted, exhibitors are responsible for transportation arrangements and expenses of artwork delivery to and from the university including insurance.
If your work is accepted, exhibitors are expected to present their work professionally, 2D work should be ready to hang, in mats and/or frames when appropriate or be wired for hanging. No sawtooth clips or cardboard d rings. 3D work should not exceed 50# unless the exhibitor has made installation arrangements.
A pricelist and insurance value must be listed with the application. Any sales of art work upon exhibition will be directed to the artist.
Accepted artists are given a small stipend to help offset expenses and are required to submit a W-9.
All artworks should be exhibition ready. Please provide any specially required hanging apparatus and necessary additional support such as electronic devices which are to be supplied by the artist. The gallery has limited resources regarding multimedia exhibitions.
